With millions of dollars already invested, Sig Sauer is ready to expand its ammunition production within their Jacksonville plant. By shifting their shipping and receiving departments into a new space, the company opened thousands of square feet for additional machinery within their current facility. The proposed expansion plan is mainly focused on increasing the quantity of pistol ammunition, but Sig Sauer also plans to invest in creating a new, in-house primer production unit. This addition will better support the bullet, brass, and finished ammo units that are already in place, thus creating a facility that manufactures the whole bullet.
