X-Rated Smith & Wesson Shield 9mm
Smith & Wesson's Dave O'Connor and Guns & Ammo Handgun Editor James Tarr reveal the Smith & Wesson Shield X in 9mm. Building on the legacy of the trend-setting Shield, the Shield X features the increased capacity of the double-stack Shield Plus but adds a redesigned frame. Some ergonomic improvements were carried over from the .380 model, but with a lengthen grip and tapered beavertail for ideal control — even for shooters with large hands. The Shield X supports popular optics and includes a rail, a first for the shield series that enables the attachment of a light. Thumb safety, non-thumb safety and state compliant models will be offered, as well.
