Ravin Broadheads

Ravin Steel Broadhead

A proven leader in crossbow design and speed, Ravin expands its already impressive archery foot-print as they jump into the broadhead arena this year. Simply branded Aluminum, Steel and Titanium, these 100-grain rear deploying mechanical broadheads deliver a devastating 2-inch cut upon impact. Delivering accuracy you’d expect from Ravin, these broadheads are engineered with an internal spring clip that holds the blades closed while in flight—even the fastest crossbow can’t force them loose—but upon impact the blades seamlessly slide into place without fail. The Aluminum model features a 7075-T6 ferrule and steel 12L 14 bone-splitting tip, while the 416 Steel and Grade 5 Titanium broadheads feature a single piece ferrule. Although they carry the Ravin Cross-bow brand, they are effective from any crossbow.

Swhacker #269

Swhacker #269

Last year Swhacker teamed up with renowned archer Levi Morgan to develop a series of both me-chanical and fixed-blade marvels, and this year they extend that relationship even deeper with the new #269. Offering the same design qualities of their popular #261, the new #269 is a beefier 125-grain version and still delivers field point accuracy its younger brother does. Its chisel tip coupled with the arched blade design slices through game with ease, and the reinforced ribbed ferrule pro-vides greater strength and rigidity. Upon impact, the sharp 1-inch wing blades cut through the hide initially and then swing the primary blades into place to deliver a 2.5-inch wound channel. It also features Swhacker’s advanced blade lock technology which locks the blades in the closed position so hunters can practice with the heads they hunt with.

Innerloc Devastation

Innerloc Devastation

With its three blade design, Innerloc’s new Devastation broadhead features a 2-inch cutting diameter and the proven Clip Loc design that secures the blades while in flight. Its new patent-pending Dynamic Blade Control technology utilizes soft “DBC” inserts that cushion each blade while in the open position. This allows them to adjust independently as they encounter resistance during penetration. This not only prevents damaged blades but also allows the broadhead to move around bone easier for increased penetration. The Devastation line is available in standard 100 grain and 150 grain for those seeking more FOC.

Rage X-Treme

Rage X-Treme

Just when you thought they couldn’t improve, Rage delivers once again with their redesigned X-Treme broadhead this year. With the exclusive NC (No Collar) fail-safe blade retention system, the X-Treme now features cutting-edge, finger-like tabs on the blades’ Slip Cam pivot point that is de-signed to anchor the blades in place while in the closed position, completely eliminating the need for a Shock Collar. This new design is centered around a 1.425-inch-long, high-strength 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum ferrule that is equipped with a pair of .039-inch thick ultra-sharp blades that instantly deploy upon impact to deliver a massive 2.3-inch wound channel. The X-Treme is available in two 100-grain configurations which feature a cut-on-contact leading-blade tip or their legendary bone-crushing chisel tip.

G5 Outdoors Striker-X

G5 Outdoors Striker-X

The new Striker-X from G5 Outdoors is their first broadhead to ever incorporate a fixed 4-blade design. Constructed with replaceable LUTZ blades, which are the sharpest in the industry, and a machined ferrule to ensure strength, the Striker-X has a 1.25-inch cutting diameter and is con-structed from 100-precent stainless steel. G5’s Anix Blade Locking System keeps blades secure in flight while also providing the ability to replace blades as needed. The Striker-X is available in 100 and 125 grain options and will also be available in crossbow versions.

Rocket Siphon

Rocket Siphon

The original Meat Seeker from Rocket was my first introduction to mechanical broadheads well over a decade ago, and this year they added another gem to the mix. Branded the Siphon, it features a 1.75-inch cutting diameter, a stainless steel chisel tip and three .035-inch-thick stainless steel blades that swing into place upon impact. Its internal blade locking mechanism provides reliable blade retention without bands to prevent the blades from opening prematurely.

Muzzy ONE

Muzzy ONE

Milled from a single block of premium stainless steel, the Muzzy ONE expands from its flagship 100-grain model to include additional 85- and 125-grain models. With the ability to precisely con-trol all tolerances, the One is equipped with a hybrid chisel/cut-on-contact tip and .046-inch-thick blades to deliver a 1.25-inch cut in their 100- and 125-grain models, while the 85-grain is slightly less at 1.125 inches. The precision-positioned vents on the blades ensure true flight with each drop of the string, and although the blades are ultra-sharp out of the package, they can easily be touched up with a sharpening stone to keep the edge you’re looking for.

SIK F3

SIK F3

If looks could kill, you would want the new Fixed F3 from SIK Broadheads on the tip of your arrow. At 100 grains, the F3 features a Core Cutting technology with 3 winged offset stainless steel blades that offer a total cutting diameter of 1.187 inches. The threaded rear locking collar coupled with its stainless steel chisel tip ferrule ensures the blades stay locked in place as it drives through flesh. For crossbow shooters there’s the new F3CB model that offers many of the same features.

Wasp Archery Havalon HV

Wasp Archery Havalon HV

Last year, Wasp Archery teamed up with Havalon Knives to deliver the Wasp Havalon HV, and this year that weighty decision got a little heavier with the addition of a 125-grain model. Still offer-ing Wasp’s trademark Stainless Smart Tip (SST) and .035-inch-thick surgically sharp stainless steel blades, the Havalon HV drives through flesh and bone with ease leaving a 1 3/16-inch wound channel. Its strong aerospace grade aluminum ferrule is the foundation of this compact head that delivers outstanding field point accuracy and easy tuning.

Iron Will Outfitters Wide Series

Iron Will Outfitters Wide Series

With the ability to deliver even more devastation, Iron Will Outfitters adds another gem to their line branded the Wide Series. With a main blade that offers a 1 3/8-inch-wide cut and a bleeder that adds an additional ¾-inch, the Wide Series is 30 percent wider than their original models. Still de-veloped with a grade 5 titanium and hardened stainless steel ferrule that’s proven to be 3 times stronger than a typical aluminum ferrule, the Wide Series is offered in 100-, 125-, 150-, 175- 200- and 225-grain models and features .062-inch-thick A2 Tool steel blades with cut on contact Tanto tip.

Viper Archery Spectre

Viper Archery Spectre

The new Spectre Broadhead from Viper Archery features a strong, aerodynamic, machined 7075 aluminum ferule with a hardened-carbon-steel four-face chisel tip that is not only designed to fly like a field point but also produces deep penetration. Because of its curved blade design, the .047-inch-thick, razor-sharp blades slice with ease and with the Spectre’s revolutionary magnetic-blade technology that stay closed while in flight but are guaranteed to open upon impact. The tip and blades have a gold Cerakote finish for lubricity and wear resistance as well. The 100-grain model delivers a 2-inch cutting diameter, while the heavier 125 grain boasts an impressive 2.25 inches.

New Archery Product DK4

New Archery Product DK4

Offering the best of both worlds, the DK4 from New Archery Products is a hybrid-style broad-head that features a pair of 1 ¾-inch pivoting main blades that are designed to deflect around bone and recenter, and a pair of mechanical secondary bleeder blades that spring into action upon impact that deliver an additional 1 1/8-inch cut. Its internal Spitfire spring clip technology holds the blades in place during flight, while its steel-tipped ferrule and ultra-sharp stainless steel blades won’t be denied deep penetration. The DK4 is ideal for today’s ultra-fast compound bows or crossbows, and are available in 100- and 125-grain configurations.

B3 Archery DeStrukt

B3 Archery DeStrukt

Small, compact and mighty is what best describes the new 100 grain DeStrukt from B3 Archery. Constructed from 100-percent stainless steel, the fixed blade DeStrukt features curved, ultra-sharp blades for greater penetration and its cut-on-contact micro steel tip powers through flesh and bone to deliver a 1.2-inch cutting payload. Its compact design ensures it flies like a field point every time.
