Last month Joseph von Benedikt mentioned Jim Corbett (1875–1955) in reference to the classic 7x57mm Mauser cartridge. Joseph said Corbett was perhaps the second most famous of the hunters notable for using the 7x57. Corbett became legendary for his work hunting down man-eating tigers and leopards in India.
