A white light for a pistol is always a good idea, and they’re even better when they have an attached laser such as the Streamlight TLR-8G. Former Special Forces Officer Tom Beckstrand and Firearms News Senior Field Editor David Fortier are on location at the SIG Sauer Academy in New Hampshire as they review how the TLR-8G accomplishes two jobs in one a convenient package.
Beckstrand approves of lasers as a backup sight should a red dot go down or become obscured, and he prefers green laser sights over red since the color is easier to detect with the human eye.
