Anyone who follows the professional bass tournament scene knows the clear relationship that Bassmaster Elite Series pro Jason Christie has with dock fishing. However, many moons ago, the Oklahoma native’s earliest visits to his Grand Lake home waters actually left him in awe of the sheer numbers.

“The first time I fished Grand, I was overwhelmed because there were docks everywhere,” Christie said. 

Now, the 2022 Bassmaster Classic champion dissects docks with surgical skill, but that’s not simply a function of more gray hair; it’s the systematic approach that he and other dock aces use to identify their better opportunities.
