Burris FastFire micro red-dot optics have been popular since they were first introduced in 2007, but recently the company announced the release of the FastFire E ($420), its first enclosed-emitter reflex optic.
FastFire optics are known for their robust design and shooter-friendly features, and the E version is no exception. The monolithic machined 7075 aluminum housing is rugged, and this housing and front and rear lenses offer complete protection for the emitter. That means rain, dust and debris cannot reach—and possibly block—the emitter.
