Bob Popovics was a giant of saltwater fly fishing. He was undoubtedly one of the most influential saltwater fly tiers of all time, he helped popularize fly fishing for striped bass, and he touched the lives of the thousands and thousands of people who came in contact with him at angling shows and other events over many decades. The fly-tying room at Bob’s home was a gathering place for both angling greats and neophytes looking to gain a few pearls of wisdom.
