This toothy leader has a 50" butt section of 50-pound-test fluorocarbon, 15" of 40-pound-test 7×7 100% corrosion proof stainless steel wire, and a size 3 Stay-Lok Snap. This leader is perfect for floating lines. Cut about 2 feet off the butt section when you use it with sinking lines so you can strip the fly as close as possible to the submerged rod tip to perform boatside figure eights for pike and muskies. Longer leaders make these underwater maneuvers difficult to pull off. This leader is not IGFA legal, meaning that there is no sub-20-pound-test section, and any fish caught on this leader would not qualify for an IGFA fly-rod record.
