Hook ‘n Look: Where Largemouth Bass are Most Secure

We all know that largemouth bass are cover-related creatures. The shade and protection offered by a single pier, or a row of docks, the overhead canopy of a grass mat, some brush or laydown tree can give the predator a place to live and feed from.

Cover oriented bass can be some of the most aggressive fish and therefore, some of the easiest to catch. But as anglers we often don’t give ourselves a chance at the strike because of our own behavior. While they may be comfortable, our lack of boat control, cast control or even our own laziness can keep us from getting more bites.
